Unit Director
Marco Hemmerling is Professor of Computational Design in Architecture at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences and Visiting Professor at the Politecnico di Milano, School of Architecture and Urban Planning. Previously he was Professor at the Detmold School of Architecture and Interior Design and Director of the post-graduate Master program Computational Design and Construction at the East-Westphalia University of Applied Sciences. He is an elected member of the Association of German Architects.

Max Salzberger, M.A.
Scientific Associate
Max Salzberger is a member of the research staff at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, where he teaches digital planning and construction. He has specialized in digital production from early in his professional life, dating back to his apprenticeship as a woodworker. Max also teaches digital manufacturing at the chamber of crafts in Cologne, and is a founding member of Atelier SLOW in Cologne. He has put numerous projects into practice, from experimental structures to interiors and residential architecture. .

Tobias Scheeder, M.A.
Scientific Associate
Tobias Scheeder is a research staff member at the Cologne Cologne University of Applied Sciences, where he heads the CAM Laboratory at the Faculty of Architecture and teaches digital planning and building information modelling. He was a member of the research staff at the University of applied sciences Mainz where he worked in 3D printing and robotic milling as well as virtual reality and computational design. He is a lecturer for CAD there. With ProduktRaum he realizes VR applications, interior design and offers 3D printing.

Steffen Stein, B.Sc.
IT Administration
Steffen Stein is a trained computer scientist and works as IT administrator at the Cologne University of Technology. In the CODE ARCH unit he is responsible for the software and hardware infrastructure. Moreover he is involved in our research projects INTERACT and INTERCOM.
